The offer of
the studies is directed to those who wish to get familiarized with the
organizational structure of public administration and the tasks of
self-governmental units. The studies cover the detailed analysis of their
competences, legal organizational forms, as well as the electoral principles and
the forms of co-operation of local authorities.
The studies
allow for gaining the knowledge in the field of municipal and spatial economy
and the effective management of self-government institutions.
The organization of the studies
enables raising the qualifications of those already employed in administration,
as well as gaining the knowledge by this year’s secondary-school graduates at
full - time studies.

The graduates
of
Territorial Self-government gain qualifications allowing to undertake jobs in
the units of territorial self-government administration of varied hierarchy:
in organs
and organizational units of the community, administrative districts and
voivodships;
in institutions
and organizational units dealing with the collective needs of communities (for
instance, in range of spatial order, the real estate economy, protection of
environment and the natural supplies as well as the water economy; communal
roads, streets, bridges, squares as well as the organization of traffic;
water-pipes and the supply in water, the supply in electric and thermal energy
as well as gas; the collective road transportation and the public roads;
protection of health; social help, including the centres and the institutions of
care; housing building; public education, cultural, physical and tourism, etc.),
offices and treasury units, courts, district administrative units;
Students
can also undertake the 2nd degree studies (Master’s studies) or Post-diploma
studies.
